Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my SSD which is a 250gb cable one.

I have the following mother board

PRIME Z270-K|Motherboards|ASUS United Kingdom

I have been looking on OC website and it seems like this Pcie type is the new SSD for 1tb sized. They seem to be faster and better for gaming which I do a lot of.

I am unsure what type I should go for and if my mother board will accept it from the manual it looks like it does. Does anyone have any recommendation of a new SSD 1tb that OC sell that would work correctly on my mobo? Budget is around £100 give or take £50

Thanks

Cutting and pasting same advice as i gave yesterday-

It has a M.2 PCIe 3 slot so something like

Or if money is really tight.

1TB is not much more expensive than 500GB

That last one is a risk because WD swap around the components on it so you never sure what you actually going to get. I have one as a storage drive and works ok for that

Aye, 500gb one is good value if you are buying BF2042 thats for sure
The write speeds on the smaller capacity drives take a big hit though, where it would be better getting a sn750 rather than the se, or just go for rhe sn550, though at £77, youre getting a drive for £27, so guess see your point(just checked price) . The se is meant to be slightly cheaper than the sn750, but seems to be roughly the same price(1tb version), but having a £50 game thrown in for free gives it its value.
