Hi Guys & Gals some advice if you please,
I'm currently running Win 8.1 (SSD) and for whatever reason I installed it in IDE mode in BIOS, but I've since read that AHCI is better for SSDs. Therefore with a new SSD en route I'm planning on a fresh Win 10 install on that but would like to use AHCI..so here's the catch:
I will eventually wipe the Win 8.1 install but for a while I may/will need to (dual) boot up the Win 8.1/IDE install until everything is fully sorted on the new one, so, is it best to simply change the BIOS setting when doing this? or Is the alternative to "convert" IDE to AHCI on my current install?
Thanks
