New Star Wars games?

So, with the new films on the horizon will there be any new FPS games ocming out?
My lad told me Battlefront 3 will be out next year.
I loved Jedi Outast and Jedi Academy, ahead of their time (at the time) if you ask me. Very polished and detailed.

Would love to know there are more coming out.
Did Lucasarts sell out their gaming arm to Dice or some such?
 
Haven't heard anything apart from the new battlefront from dice. I'd love a new Jedi outcast/academy type game though. Such a good lightsaber combat system that actually needed skill and timing. So much fun!

Recently there have been the force unleashed games which have been pretty crappy tbh. Just your standard button mashers with quick time events. Lucasarts is now owned by Disney along with lucas films and all the other star wars stuff so not sure whats happening now or if they even produce games any more.
 
Star wars battlefront 3 which I believe is on the same engine as battlefield 4. There is a video but it doesn't show much.

I wish that bounty hunter game wasn't canned it looked amazing.

Me too, loved those games so much. I recently learned that Bioware put all the foundation work in for story and level design etc for a Kotor 3, but when the recession hit they had to bin the project. Sad news. :( They should pick up where they left off!
 
Lol, glad i'm not the only one.

I spent endless hours spawning baddies (using the console commands) in the hanger in Jedi outcast so that i could take on loads of force users in lightsabre and force power duels.
God it was awesome.

We ABSOLUTELY must have another Jedi fps game. It's the law!!!!:D
 
Had a strong desire to replay KOTOR1/2 the other week but could not get either of them to run. Kept crashing after creating a character and clicking 'play'. Spent hours and hours trying to get it to work, was gutted :(

New KOTOR would be immense.
 
A shame Bioware are so busy as I would love them to do a new Star Wars adventure. I would also like a new Space Combat sim as well. With multiplayer, objectives to complete as well as TDM modes etc.
 
I could have sworn I heard something from Bioware about a new Star Wars project ages ago. Maybe it was a dream or something :p I've been playing Dragon Age Inquisiton lately and can't help but imagine it being a new KotR. The possibilities... just thinking about it is enough to make me explode. SWTOR has ruined everything.

As for Battlefront 3, I really hope they don't turn it into an online only, multiplayer map, season pass pile of garbage. There's a genuine real chance that it will be and it scares me. Battlefront has always been a more approachable game with a strong story mode with good player vs AI gameplay modes. If they turn it into Battlefield or COD I'll die a little inside :(

That's unfortunate, I've had both 1 & 2 working on Windows 7 and 8.1 without having to work too hard to get them working. All I've changed is added Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 to the Graphics Options section of the .ini, which I also had to do back in 2003 to get the game to run on my 9700 pro at a playable frame rate.

Other than that I'm using a widescreen mod and a texture pack.

Edit: 64 bit versions of Windows in each case

I played it not too long ago on this very system (it was still installed!) and was able to get it to work. All thats changed since then is possibly switching GPU and newer drivers. Tried every fix across the internet, ini file changes, new dlls, CPU affinity etc. No luck :(
 
The MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is about to get a new expansion based around Revan from KOTOR, Apart from that and BF3 from me i.e DICE :p I don't know of any other Star Wars games.
