XCOM terror from the deep when it was first released it was one of the best turn based game ever in fact i prefer it to civ :eek: :)
Afterlight ive never played before but ive looked into it and basically its like Terror From The Deep but with todays standard graphics and the battles seem to be on land :)

Bah just looked in to it,

he complete series includes these titles:

* X-COM: UFO Defense (also known as UFO: Enemy Unknown and X-Com Enemy Unknown)
* X-COM: Terror from the Deep
* X-COM: Apocalypse
* X-COM: Interceptor
* X-COM: Email games
* X-COM: Enforcer

So ill be missing the first series if i bought X-COM: Terror from the Deep
+ all the other series to go with it.

UFO: enemy unknown was not as good as TFTD. Hours of my youth invested inthose 2 games. Xcom Apocalypse was pretty good but didnt get into it as much.

WTF? TFTD was unplayable because of its difficulty when you got the the cruise liners. Crabmen. damn them.

Enemy Unknown was sublime, a perfect balance of hard and good.

I am guilty of playing Enforcer from start to finish tho :P

Lobstermen dropped easily to the melee weapons you could research. You could shoot them all day with sonics and they'd just bounce off :)

Still think Enemy Unknown was much better. I wonder if the version of TFTD on steam still has that research bug that stops you getting any more research options?

Noooooo....................
Sacriledge :p
Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum is by far & away the best of lot there- One of the two true classics in PC gaming. Railroad Tycoon 3 had a 3D engine tacked badly onto the franchise- Nothing quite worked right, but may appeal more to you. Railroads is simply awful, nothing more to it- Shallow gameplay & incredibly restrictive compared to anything preceeding it in the franchise. Avoid it at all costs :(

When Steam hosts older games, are they just the original versions? Or have they been tweaked to run on a new OS?
