The new Arctis range from Steelseries is now available on the website to pre-order. Will update with availability when I have the info.
I've had an Arctis 5 to play around for a day or two with and the quality is great. Steelseries use the same driver as in their top of the range headsets for all the Arctis range. I haven't got an amp at home but I think these would level up again sound wise if I did.
The ChatMix dial is VERY handy, allowing you to change the volume of the game or whatever you are listening to and the volume of your chat host on the fly. I thought this would be gimmicky however I found myself using it more and more, swapping between games, changing volume levels according to what was going on, etc.
Along with the sound, the look and comfort of these are the other highlights of these headsets. I mean, look at them, they are gorgeous. they are also light and really very comfortable. The ski goggle material headband is nice on the head without being too tight, you can also customise these with headbands purchased separately from the Steelseries website.
The differences between the models break down like this:
Arctis 3 - Standard model
Arctis 5 - Includes ChatMix dial and RGB
Arctis 7 - Includes ChatMix dial, lag free wireless (up to 15hours) and nicer detailing
All are available in either black or white.
