ok guys, old one's disappeared, maybe we went off topic in certain places i know i made a few posts which weren't really related to any clubs transfers.

We probably better assume it's been locked or deleted for now unless a mod tells us otherwise so let's start a new one where we try to stick to the topic. Transfer news and relative merits of transfer.

If the old one comes back then it'll be easy enough to ditch this one.

i'd prefer to sell heinze to be honest. i could see his value declining a good 3million over the course of the next year.

7million gets us a good keeper. A good right back (we're fine in left back probably right back too actually but someone who could actually take over from gaz in a few years.) or a good 4th choice forward.

don't see him going to liverpool still but at the end of the day he wouldn't improve them hugely. it wouldn't be like giving them Ronaldo... oh hang on bad example they've already got pennant. rooney then... oh no they've already got crouch. damn it.

would be very surprised if tevez wasn't registered for the weekend, premier league were waiting for money to clear to west ham so apparently they only began looking this morning at paperwork this morning. why they couldn't have been doing that over the weekend in anticipation of this is beyond me, but still as this move has a precedent set by mascherano i can't see there being anymore probs.

I have to say he is a good player for a lower end club, but wouldn't hack it at Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd and a few others.

Good luck to him, atleast he gets what he wants - First team football.

exactly. his attitude and play for west brom was fantastic that one season, not top 6 quality but make him really work for a living and he's a good player.

yep, i mean realistic transfer values this season would have been, voronin 0.002 million, babel 1 million, torres 1.5 million, smith 6 million, Nani 40mill, Anderson 40mill, hargreaves 50mill, Pole in Goal 15mill, tevez, well he'd be near enough the £100m man.

but as you say things have gone crazy.

;)

i think everton are brilliant, really admire the way they play and in arteta they've got some player. phil neville has transformed completely since he went there as well.

it's a joy! and all that stuff off benitez, kind of knocks into touch the whole 'it's a win win situation for us, we're not that bothered but it unsettles united'.

you shouldn;t play such exciting great to watch football then should you?

only joking, obviously...

no idea why it comes out like that, possibly there should be some way to mix it up more but i suppose giving sky that power is the price of the great tv deal the pl has.

Yes it took a long time because an agreement was needed with West Ham, but thats nothing to do with what Rafa's saying; after we reached our agreement with MSI and West Ham we still had to wait 3 weeks before the EPL sanctioned the deal, you waited 3 days for your deal to be sanctioned once you reached your agreement.

The Dutch FA upheld the ban and the English FA had to go along with it under Fifa rules. But even if the English FA had any thing to do with it, the EPL had absolutely nothing to do with any bans, which is what you were saying.

just to confirm, the mascherano transfer was structuring a 3rd part ownership into a manner that the pl could pass as legitimate bearing in mind they were fining west ham. now assuming the tevez contract with united has only material differences then with the precedent of the move set it would only be a case of confirming details of contract. I imagine they also confirmed for themselves the details regarding his registration being passed between 3 clubs in a season.

I think all in all it was just a very complicated transfer.

hmm, not sure i rate him that highly. don't get me wrong i wouldn't complain if we got him but i'd feel ddgy paying over £15mill for him. mind you if bent is worth 16 then obviously he's worth more than that.
