Hi. Putting together my new rig with the Super Flower Leadex II 650W 80 Plus Gold power supply I got from OcUK last week. Just checking, when it's plugged into the mains, I should at least be able to get the LEDs working? It seems dead as a dodo - no lights anywhere, fan movement or lights on the mobo when connected.

It would be unusual for it to be DOA. The SF Leadex II has an on/off button for the LED's and also the fan won't spin on the psu if it is in hybrid (Eco) mode until a certain temp/load.

Are all the cables plugged in correctly ? You haven't missed anything ? 24 pin, 8 pin, gpu 6/8 pin, cpu fan and front panel headers etc.

Hi, yeah just wanted to check if I should be seeing any signs of life with just it plugged into the mains and nothing else. I had it connected originally to the 24 pin, 8 pin, CPU fans connected - no GPU in the board yet or front panels attached. There were no lights on the board or anything on the PSU to indicate it was alive. On a Youtube vid I saw, the LED switch should light up the connector blocks on the back of the PSU and I'm not getting that.

Is the psu LED button switched on at the back of the unit ? I would just finish off the build and see if it boots up.

its unlikely to do anything with just mains cable plugged in , it needs to be told to switch on via mb-> case power switch
lookup paper clip test
