Right this is the system am going to order thanks everyone for all your input :) :)

I have two quick questions though does anybody know if the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme will fit ok in a Coolermaster RC-1100 Cosmos S "Sport" case? and with a Asus Rampage Formula Intel X48 motherboard?

Ok cheers

Blue.

that cpu is on preorder you know?

youll have to wait for it to come.

and aslong as you take the side fan off, the cosmosS an handle it.

you wont need ultiamte vista.

abr that its all good.

Says the oem is in stock on website m8 10+

Do you think it would be better going for the Coolermaster RC-1000 *New V2* Cosmos Silver/Black Silent Aluminium Full Tower think thats the older one would i still need to adapt that one?

oh right m8, sorry i didnt see that. few days ago it was pre order, i assumed it still was:rolleyes:(to my self) :p

umm all depends, what do you want, colder thermals (aka will you be OCing to the max), or very quiet.

I will overclock as much as i can with my kit, so colder thermals is better i guess?

So Cosmos S it is then :) :).

Cheers again m8.

Bit late to the thread but can I ask why you went for Vista Ultimate edition over Home Premium, other than the obvious bragging rights? Are you actually going to use any of the additional features of Ultimate?

Personally I'd have gone for Home Premium Retail at around the same price as I reckon the ability of that licence to survive a mobo upgrade outweighs the loss of the additional features of Ultimate.

If you are genuinely needing the additional features of Ultimate then fair enough but I've yet to meet anyone with a copy of Ultimate who actually is - they've all just bought it so they look "uber".
