Morning all,

Was looking for some advise I am currently considering selling my PC to my brother and building a new one for myself, firstly I will list my exsisting PC and then hopefully can you guys tell me how much my PC is worth and also if I could build a better one for about £400 - £500.

My PC
P4 3.2 (Northwood)
Asus P4c800-E Deluxe (M/Board)
2 x 256mb PC3200 Corsair CMX256A-3200C2
2 x 512mb PC3200
ATi Radeon 9700 Pro
Pioneer DVR-110
Sony DVD Player
Zalman (CNPS7000B-CU) Super Flower Cooler AMD and P4

Thanks all.

Just to add I mainly use my PC for encoding & burning films and also playing games such as FM07, command and conquer, Tiger Woods but I would like to play other demanding games if I wanted to.

I can't really see any way to improve on what Will_3rd has specified there so I won't even try, that system will provide you with a nice jump in performance on what is quite a tight budget for a full system. :)

Cheers guys.

If you I dont have the money to spend straight away on a new rig like some of the richer members on here ;) is it worth buying a part each month, for e.g buy a CPU then the month later the M/Board then a month later the Memory ?

Would buy it at the same time mate, might save cash that way as well if any of items are on TWO or go down in price.

what i did was upgrade to like the asrock 775 dual VSTA and c2d e6300 then i update to ddr2 memory a couple of weeks later, and then got a temp pci-e card so i could upgrade to my ds4 lol. havn't got the new gfx card yet cause i got a dell 20" wfp :p
