Everything looks fine, mobo has OC genie which is nice eye candy :>

It's the reviews and OC genie that's led me to the MSI board.

I'll be playing GTA 4, GRID and COD stuff.

Tempted to add a steering wheel to the order...

Added an I7 instead

Would it be better just to get a 5870 card into my Q6600?

Because I thought it's about time and I don't rate my current system and I can't play GTA 4 or GRID on max settings.

Got a 9800GT at the mo with 512MB RAM.

Depends, If you need abit more umphh and you have the cash, why not spend it while you can? The i7 spec is very good. I don't regret buying my spec and I'm more than happy with it as it fulfills my needs when gaming.

Although, make sure you get a good graphics card otherwise there is no point upgrading from your current spec. A 5850 would be ideal.

well, 9800gt is a bit outdated for maximum details... I would upgrade only card to hd5850-70 or second handed hd4890/gtx275/gtx285... q6600- still is a good chip for those games,,,

I'm looking at the route of keeping my Q6600 at the moment, changing the motherboard and getting a 5780, but it's all still a bit up in the air
