new system boot

so i have just built an ivybridge machines and taking some parts from my old pc
the ssd/hdd and graphics card
i put the ssd in thinking it would force me to reinstall windows 8 but it was happy to let me load is this due to the hyper-v and if so should i reinstall windows 8 or do you guys think its fine

to me it just seems weird only parts that are the same are hdd/ssd and graphics card XD
