Hi all,
I've decided to sign up and get some opionions on the following Set-Up. I've been lurking for a while but thought I might aswell sign up !
Current Set-Up :-
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ SKT939
2GB DDR-400 RAM
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 SKT939 Motherboard
MSI X1950 Pro 256MB
WD 160GB IDE HDD
Generic 480W Power Supply
Alien Gaming Case 480W (Budget Case !)
Proposed Build :-
Mobo - ASROCK M3A790GXH 128M 790GX AM3 DDR3 DVI HDMI ATX Motherboard
CPU - AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz Socket AM3 6MB L3 Cache
Power Supply - OCZ Stealth XStream 600W PSU - SLI Ready ATX2.2 12cm Fan
Cooling - Arctic Cooling (AC-FRZ-64P) Freezer64 Pro Socket 754 939 940 CPU Cooler Pro Ver & Zalman ZM-STG1 Thermal Grease
HDD - Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB Hard Drive SATAII *32MB Cache*
Memory - OCZ Platinum AM3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel (OCZ3P1333LVAM4GK)
Graphics - XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - Inc. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X
Cooling - Hiper 120mm Case Fan - Clear HiperFlow Frame & Blades - 3pin
Case - As Above !
Total £585.66 Inc Delivery
With Antec 300 Case & 2x Hiper 120mm HiperFlow Chrome Blade Case Fan With Blue LED - 3pin Adaptor
Total £640.43 Inc Delivery
So, a couple of questions. Which of the two 4890 Graphics cards is better, the Asus Or XFX ?. Both are £164.99 but on the Asus description it states the clock is 950MHz instead of 850MHz. Would that power supply fit the Antec 300 Case ?.
This is my current case, don't laugh !

Is it worth it going for the Antec 300 ?
I'll be running everything at stock speeds btw, simply because I've never overclocked !. Is it easy/safe to do these days ?
What do you guys think ?
Any help appreciated.
How do you think this will run Crysis @ Very High 1680x1050 ?
Cheers,
Nskii
