Hi all,

I've decided to sign up and get some opionions on the following Set-Up. I've been lurking for a while but thought I might aswell sign up !

Current Set-Up :-

2GB DDR-400 RAM
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 SKT939 Motherboard

Graphics - XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - Inc. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X

Cooling - Hiper 120mm Case Fan - Clear HiperFlow Frame & Blades - 3pin

Case - As Above !

Total £585.66 Inc Delivery

With Antec 300 Case & 2x Hiper 120mm HiperFlow Chrome Blade Case Fan With Blue LED - 3pin Adaptor

Total £640.43 Inc Delivery

So, a couple of questions. Which of the two 4890 Graphics cards is better, the Asus Or XFX ?. Both are £164.99 but on the Asus description it states the clock is 950MHz instead of 850MHz. Would that power supply fit the Antec 300 Case ?.

This is my current case, don't laugh !

Is it worth it going for the Antec 300 ?

I'll be running everything at stock speeds btw, simply because I've never overclocked !. Is it easy/safe to do these days ?

What do you guys think ?

Any help appreciated.

How do you think this will run Crysis @ Very High 1680x1050 ?

Cheers,

Nskii

the asus card is the better of the two as it has been volt modded by the manufactorer so it can achievie higher clocks

the power supply and case are both standard and so should have no compatability problems

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll be going for the asus then.

Another question if forgot to ask.

Cheers !

Just read up on cheap PSU's !.

Edit:- Make that the OCZ Stealth XStream 600W PSU - SLI Ready ATX2.2 12cm Fan be a better choice ?. Would it be enough power for all that ?

Still it'll be quite a jump ?.

i'd double check that the cooler fits an AM3 socket mobo, because it doesnt list AM3 whereas the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer lists am2 and am3.
