New system bundle, can't seem to activate oc profile

Hey all I need some help here if possible!
Recently bought the this bundle here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-063-OE
Everything is installed and working now, but for some reason I can't seem to get the ocuk profile that is saved in bios to work!
Every time I load it, and then try to save and exit, it always boots back up and seems to stay at the stock 3.3ghz, ive tried many times and nothing seems to be working
Any ideas why?

have you used cpuz and prime to test while in windows? as my asus bios says im on 3.4ghz still still i load windows and test with them programs

have you updated the bios?
if yes, then this will remove the oc profile.

try as gazzaman said, download Intel burn test or prime 95 (google them, they are free) and also download cpu-z.
run one of the stress testing programs and then run cpu-z, what does it say now?
it just may be some energy saving setting. ie. if the pc is not under stress, it just stays at a lower speed to save leccy

Yeh ive tried running those programs both but weird thing is cpuid flashes between 1600 and 4600 every now and then, and real temp is even showing 0mhz!
Its really weird! How come it shows 3.3 on bootup and in the bios?

As above, you'll need to run CPU-Z to see the core speed and use a stress test such as prime95 to put the CPU under load.
At idle the CPU will downlock to 1.6GHz, this is a feature called Speedstep and it's a power saving feature. Under load the turbo multiplier of 46 will kick in and clock the CPU up to 4.6GHz. Realtemp does not read Sandy bridge CPU clock speeds correctly.

Disabled the speedstep bit in the bios, and now its reading at 4600 in cpuid now with 0% load
Idle temps are around 40-45, is that normal? I know when I did a quick stress test earlier temps shot up to near 80 which is pretty high I know, but is it too high for 100% load?

Not sure why you've disabled Speedstep as all that does is downlock the CPU when idle, saving power. Your idle temperatures look fine considering your CPU is no longer downclocking, load temperatures are a little on the high side but within reason.

Is there a way to actually make windows/bios/bootup report the cpu is actually running at 4600 or will it always say 3300?

Nope.
The BIOS will show the normal speed of the CPU which can't be changed, only the turbo ratio can be changed and this only takes effect in Windows.
If you have an Asus board, enter the BIOS and look in the Ai Tweaker menu, and you'll see "Target CPU Frequency". If you have a Gigabyte, look in the MBIT menu, then Advanced Frequency Settings", and you'll see it listed there too. That way you can confirm the speed in the BIOS, but you can't make the BIOS report 4.6Ghz at POST.

its already overclocked then, itll only open up the cpu full power when needed e.g like converting video, playing games, rendering etc....

when in idle or low use mode (surfing net) itll lower the clock to save power
