Hey guys, just brought an epic new 4090/ i73700kf system from Overclockers, really happy with it so far.

Been messing around on 3d mark with the system and I see my cpu scores are varying quite drastically. one test shows a score of 71fps with the CPU test, while the same test ran again shows 62fps, mostly I get around 65 fps. I just never saw such a large difference with my past cpu which was an i9 from a couple years ago.

The test I'm talking about is the CPU test at the end of the Timespy GPU test.

I'm just wondering if it's normal to vary that much? I have installed all available windows updates in-between tests and I was wondering if that slowed my scores somewhat. forgive me I am a layman with CPUs,

Thanks for the time,

Matt.

The average temperature was 62C on both the best result and worse. The best result was actually before I installed all the latest windows updates. Perhaps I'm just over reacting, a difference of 5 frames isn't all that much when Thinking about the performance of the processor.

thanks for the reply.

I ran cinebench for 10 minutes until the timer counted down to zero but didn't get a result. I'll have to learn what to do. My scores for the CPU test on timespy were between 18500 and 21500 if I remember correctly. I'm away from my computer for a little bit.

Thanks. I did a single core test and scored 2100, then a multi core test and scored almost 31000. This was after having the processor loop like you say. Its put my mind at rest as the look to be decent scores for the benchmarks I've seen.
