Well he enjoys the odd game here and there mostly FPS like Doom 3 and several others, also enjoys the Command and Conquer Series of games.

Other than that its used for day to day stuff and some encoding / burning.

Graphics card should be good enough to last for a while and play Call of Duty 4.

The games he playes now are on a graphics card that is way WAY out of date. Struggles with some games as well.

better GPU , newer CPU ,

I chose the nvidia card from personal preferance as we have always had them in our systems and are familiar with the software.

I was just wondering if there was going to be any compatability issues with the system I posted. Only need to altar stuff if there is going to be any issues.

if you are happy with your spec, i would only say get a wolfdale chip such as the e8200 over the e6750 as your MB is compatable with the wolfdale cpus that are faster at the same stated speed then the conroe cpus

Awww I wish my dad enjoyed Doom3 :( - actually... he probably would if I let him play it.

*mental note: tempt father into the world of fps*

Ha ha, my Dad wouldn't know where to begin, not even remotely!

Just got it through this morning and have hte 2 hdd in but when trying to install Vista I get "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation" ??????

I do not want to use raid and it sees the 2 drives seperately and I formatted it and it had Primary next to the formatted drive. anyone got any ideas ??? Bearing in mind this is not intended to be ran in Raid Configuration.

Edit.
These motherboard manuals should be twice the size since they tell u what the info screen in the bios tells u and nothing more ><

nvm, sorted itself out hehe.
