Hi guys,
I have recently bought a new gaming system from Overclockers and I am extremely puzzled at why my computer is freezing. I have spent a lot of money and time in order to get myself this kind of purchase so the feeling of frustration is just terrible. I am hoping the community of hardware enthusiast could share with me their experiences with similar, hard to pinpoint crashes.
After installing the new prebuilt system, I started getting one freeze a day mostly while playing games and once when streaming netflix video.
The freeze would just make the screen freeze up and I would hear a looping static sound in speakers.
Here's what I have done together with Overclockers so far:
- ran GPU stress test at Ultra (Heaven Benchmark): passed with good results and temperatures
- ran CPU stress test (Intel Xtreme): passed
- ran memtest for RAM: passed
- removed the GPU GTX 970 and used On board graphics for 2 days, during these two days I kept playing Heroes of the Storm (blizz) on low settings and the freeze has not occured. My supplier then asked me to return the graphics card. I got a brand new replacement which was fine for 2 weeks. yesterday the freeze occured again in same format during gaming - glitch, everything freezes and static, buzzing looped sound.
Please I am hoping for people who experienced similar problems to come forward so I can at least get closer to which component can this be? At the moment because of the vague nature of it is so hard to understand what is causing this. Has any of you ever come across something like that and if so how did you solve it?
