Hi all,

I just finished a new system with the following not overclocked yet, and all temps are very low even under load.
E6700 with DDen waterblock
Abit IN9 32xMax
4 Gb Corsair Dominator 8500
3 x 15K scsi Hard disks
Adaptec 29320A-R Scsi Controller
Creative Xi-Fi Xtreme Music
XFX 8800 Ultra XXX with DDen water block
Corsair 620W PSU
1 intake 120mm at the bottom front
1 120mm outtake on top of case
Black Ice GTX120 with 120mm fan
Black Ice GTX240 with 2 120mm fans
DD12v D5 pump
1/2" Tygon
Fluid XP+
Win XP SP2.

I have ran all the ram and cpu stress tests and 3d mark with no issues.
But when i run a game say Bioshock i can play for an hour then it freezes.
I reboot and it gets past the psot but when it comes to the raid screen it stops.

The only way to get past it is to leave the pc off for a few hours or reset the bios,

I have all the latest drivers and bios so does any one have any ideas.

Have you checked the temps of the 8800Ultra/CPU under load. Have you tried any other games?

The fact that it only works after a period of time suggests a heat problem on the CPU or GPU or the VGA memory chips.

Hi,

Yeah the temps are low even under load, it happens with MOH Airb, CM Dirt

620w is fine even with WC.. but it might be worth check if the rails are within the acceptable tolerance...

I'm still thinking temps because it appears to be waiting to cool down before allowing you to switch on.. unless the PSU has over heated by fault.

Tha said, try cutting back on a few components so their is less draw, see if you get the same problem.. then add them back in one at a time.. as I've described in above link.

Hi Huddy,

Yeah i am going to remove the SCSI controller and disks and try 1 ide disk with xp

Heat is the issue, even with the 2 rads when i play a demanding game it freezes. SO i am now going to have to create 2 seperate loops one for the 8800Ultra and one for the CPU. Just need to find a good pump and res
