Really need to buy a new system, hopefully you guys can help me out. The components I need are; Case, Processor, Graphics card, Motherboard, RAM, Power supply and if their is enough a HDD aswell. My budget is £500 but can go up to £600.

Ive seen a lot of people mention the Intel i5 2500k as it is very overclockable as i intend yo use it for gaming, hopefully it will run BF3.

Thanks

cre's setup could be under budget if you swap the msi mobo for the Gigabyte Z68A-D3 Intel Z68 (£72.00 inc VAT).

for a 6870? Sure. A classy PSU like the Antec will deal wih that easy.

To get into details, It's 550W, but has a lot of power available on the 12V rail, the very max power usage on that rig would be under 400W. That's running unrealistic loads like Furmark and Prime95 together, and that's measured at the plug (I run 420W like that with a overclocked 1055T and a 560ti). The Antec can output 540W on 12V and even more. In games and benches, you will be running under 350W. That's about 60, 65% peak power.

Thanks that looks fine, although i dont need the DVD drive and i may be able to pick it up from the store which will save me £12.50, Total : £568.41. If i want to overclock it, what cooler do you recomend, although at 3.30ghz i may not need to as i could use the turbo mode to 3.70ghz.

What is the difference between the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6870 and the OCUK ATI Radeon 6870 cards? The OCUK card is cheaper.

usually warrenty, sometimes better coolers on the none ocuk stuff, but aside from that next to nothing performance wise.

cooler wise have a look at the Gelid Tranquillo seems to be well liked at the moment.
