Hi all, my first post here, please help me!

I have just done the big update to my PC that Ive been longing to do for months. I bought the following from OCUK:

Gigabyte GA 965P DS3 mobo
GeIL 2GB PC6400C4 800MHz memory
A Tunic Tower
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS

All to run with a Core 2 Duo E6300 in a Lian Li PC7 with a Corsair HX 520W PSU

Basically Ive put it all together, but theres no power going to it! Theres no lights on the motherboard and Im certain that Ive plugged everything in ok (I look after server hardware at work, so Im not a real newbie..)..

Is there any quick test I can do to see if the PSU is dead? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any thoughts

Dan

Make sure the CMOS clear jumper is in the right place (sometimes they fall off or are on the wrong pins).

Make sure the PSU is turned on (if it has its own isolation switch).

Try a different power cord (never know the fuse might have gone!).

Make sure you have the power switch connected to the right pins on the mobo!

Make sure the 12V (4pin) cable is plugged in as well as the 24pin ATX one.

All I can think of for now.

Ive just checked the Clear CMOS jumper (it was under the huuuuge graphics card) and theres no jumper there. Ive got to find one!

OK, Ive checked everything and Im convinced the PSU is duff.

Im going to contact OCUK to get this one picked up and a new one sent.

I'll let you know how it goes!

OK Ive sent OCUK all the details regarding my PSU/Mobo issues. Does anyone know long the turnaround as regards to technical support enquiries through the webform contact page is?
