What's a good spec for a non gaming PC capable of 4K?

Budget is £5-600.

Price must include 4k monitor, CPU, MB, Ram, case, PSU, SSD.

I have a dvd drive, an additional SSD and win10 already.

Machine will be used for some light Photoshop and image editing.

Thank you please

Will you actually need to use the DVD drive?

Which SSD have you already got?

For time being came up with this:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £633.02 (includes shipping: £13.20)

The case has no 5.25" bay and there is no SSD as budget's been exceeded.

That Philips monitor is supposed to come with a Display Port cable according to Philips USA. OcUK says HDMI cable only. Accessories sometimes vary from country to country so would ask OcUK about that. You definitely want to use Display Port with this particular setup because the HDMI on the Mortar motherboard doesn't do 60Hz @ 4K only 30Hz.

You'll get a bit better for your money if some parts are second-hand. Although this setup would allow decent upgrades to 8 core or 12 core CPU + discrete GPU.

Thanks for this.

We have a 120GB SSD. It does need a dvd drive, but I can just choose a different case.

CPU, MB, RAM combination looks good too.
