Hey Guys,

So i built my gaming rig about 2-3 years ago, i have felt like my GPU has need upgrading for the last 6 months or so but have decided to wait for the next series of Nvidia cards.

This got me thinking, would i be better off just building a new PC?, reason i ask is because i don't want to spend £300-£400 on a new GPU and next year my CPU needs upgrading.

This is my first build so not sure about upgrades and when to do them to avoid bottlenecks

I would just like the advice of a few of you guys on here as to whether or not the rest of my system needs upgrading? i know the GPU does as i said.

Thanks guys, just looking to be able to play most of whats coming out over the next 2 years or so on high to max setting if possible.

Here is my current Rig

I5 2500k @ 4.2 Ghz
MSI P67 GD65 Mobo
8GB Ram Ripjaw X
EVGA GTX 570 SC
Corsair 650W PSU

Well you could always carry your gpu over to the next build, so it wont be a waste of money.

the i5 2500k is still a strong cpu especially for single gpu setups, so i'd say go for a good gpu

I can confidently tell you your cpu with a decent overclock can handle pretty much any single gpu out there. SLI or Xfire might be an issue though. Get some more volts going through that i5 and get it up & over 4.3:)

A 2500k is still a very strong chip. Mine is great, get your over clock to 4.5 and grab a new gpu would be my advice.

290 non x maybe?
