New system, overclocking & cooling question

Hi guys,
I just ordered a load of new bits from OC which should be coming tomorrow, really excited about the spec I'm getting especially for such a low price.
Anyway, I have a couple of questions.
Firstly with regards to over clocking - I ordered the OC barebones primo 520i which has a Gigabyte H61 motherboard. Now from what I read the H61's arent favoured for overclocking. But does this mean I wont be able to overclock at all? My processor is a Core i5 2500k, I was hoping to push the speed a bit, maybe just 10%. Will I be able to do this with that motherboard?
I've ordered the Asus Axe Square limited edition cooler which I assume will be able to handle a bit of overclocking.
My second question is about the cooler specifically, I have since read a review of it where it basically failed, but the reviewer was unable to determine if he had a defiective unit as it had an uneven base. Does anyone have any experience with this cooler? Is it any good, and will it cope with a little over clocking?

I'm new to the forum, but not a total novice at over clocking as I did overclock my previous q6600 on an air cooler with good success.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The multiplier is locked on the H boards, so no you won't be able to overclock with it. They do have the auto turbo boost but that is pretty crap seeing as the multi is locked. Should have gone for a p67 or z68 board if you wanted to overclock.

The cooler you've ordered also isn't very good, doesn't really matter though seeing as you won't be able to OC anyway :p

Should really ask before ordering things fella.

Cheers for the replies.
Now sweat guys, my own fault for not asking ahead of purchasing.
I dont mind that I paid the little extra for the K, regardless the whole system will still be MUCH faster than my q6600.

Thanks for the advice, I'll ask before purchasing next time.

You could ring up and cancel/change the order if it hasn't been collected from OcUK yet.

If it has been collected you could refuse delivery of the order, have it sent back to OcUK, get a refund, and then buy a motherboard you can use to overclock the processor.

You can always send it back, get some advice on what would better suit your needs. Then re-order the right blend of components :D
