Hi all, looking for a bit of advice with regards to a new system (Tower only, no OS)

I have a budget of £650. Usage will mainly be for gaming, but I also use webdev applications such as dreamweaver, photoshop, flash etc so multitasking performance is important.

I built my first computer many years ago from scratch so i know roughly what i am doing if i chose to build a new rig. However its been so long since i upgraded that i feel somewhat out of the 'loop' and not sure what i should be looking at hardware wise these days.

I am thinking of buying a pre-built system from OCUK, mainly to save me the time and hassle of building a new system, im looking at this this one:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...e 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ 3.00GHz+ DDR2 System

Is this good value for money, or could i buy a better rig if i build it myself? I am hoping this is where you guys can shed some light on. I am not opposed to building my own rig again, if the benefeits outweigh buying an already complete system then i will do so. Thanks in advance. :)

Depends on how much you value yout time / if you get enjoyment out of it.

That setup you have pointed out is a very good price for what you get, not sure how much it costs if you added up the exact spec to build yourself though.

Could someone spec me a better spec for £650 when compared with the pre built system shown in the first post. thanks in advance
