for my future rig im thinking about either 2 r600's or one r600 plus watercooling. the reason i am interested in a 2 card setup is because new games never run full speed with a single card (which is dumb) and i like watercooling due to low noise + cooler temps. however i dont like fiddling around too much either.
so advice there would be appreciated, is it worth me waiting for quad core btw? or will lower clock compared to dual cores hinder them? i want it as a gaming rig, not to last months.. but a while

hi jokester, usually whatever resolution i can get away with.. if i could run at 1024 x 768 (i usually run at this) and be above 60fps id be happy, that seems hard to achieve on my current card with hl2/cs source. Not forgetting the game came out soon after the card.

i have a 19"(i think) crt monitor and its bulky and old.. cant complain since my dad picked it up for free from bp when they were closing :p. Not fussed on lcd tho cos their picture cant compare to crt..not to mention the whole response time.

hmm, are you sure 1 card will be fine? if thats the case then any idea why cs source and hl2 framerate dips so much on my 6800gt? i mean there only needs to be like 6 players online and in open areas my fps can literally turn to crap, with around 16 players ive seen it dip below 20. how do i know this wont happen with newer games? or is it common?

to tomanders91.. one card never seems to be enough even at 1024 by 768, like i said before my 6800 GT was out near enough the same time as hl2/cs source.. also Doom 3, you pay a fortune for a single card that cant even run smoothly constantly and by that i mean never always above 60.

I'm just complaining because its stupid one card cant run a new game at full speed all the time.
