What temps are you seeing? Have you seated the cooler (stock or aftermarket) correctly?

Is that a new PSU or an old one? The wattage is a little conservative for my liking, although it shouldn't be a problem if new.

Did you use the MB risers (stand offs)?

Is the MB securely fitted - i'e' no movement.

Have you connected all the PSU/MB cables - double check (esp by the CPU) - pull out and reseat cennections as you check, just to be sure they're secure.

Reseat memory - make sure it's fully clickd in.

Win7 has installed. Just installing MB software so i can get some temps of it.

Nothing else is plugged in. MB seams secure though if i have another shutdown ill dissmantle and start again.

That's warm for idle - but the load temps are the important ones.

Install Core temp and give it a quick burst of prime 95.

Terminate if temps start to sky rocket -and then reseat the cooler.

Tried that. Started windows, loaded up the desktop then within about 2 secs the screen went blank. computer was still on till i forced a shutdown :S

reseated, idles at 34 now.
started windows again, gets to the desktop and the screen goes blank again. it doesnt shutdown exactly, goes the screen goes. all fans still going etc.

just tried with the gpu agian. windows starts fine, lasts about a min before the screen freezes i can still see the desktop but cant move the mouse/keyboard.

im really confused.

If you've tried all the suggestion mentioned previously then...

Clear the CMOS and load optimised defaults - save exit.

Manually set your memroy timings/frequency/voltage - save and exit.

Test.

If it reboots - run memtest from a bootable ISO.

Report back - but make sure you've done the basic check first that were previously mentioned, e.g. reseated memory, cables, and disconnected all unnecessary peripherals, usb headers etc..

Yep, cleared CMOS, and set memory timings myself.

Havnt done memtest yet, but i think its a problem with the mobo. I'm uploading a video atm so you can see what happens.

You sound remarkably relaxed considering that's a PITA of a problem.

Have you ran memtest yet?

You could also try updating the BIOS.

Failing that, i would consider testing the PSU - or trying a different one if you can get your hands on one.

EDIT: try a different SATA port and/or cable from the SSD.

Ok, ran a memtest, no errors. Changed the PSU same problem.

There is a plus side though, just through general annoyance i reinstalled windows and so far it is stable. Only installed the MB drivers so far and im currently running a quick Prime95 test, so far highs of 74oC and been running for 10mins.

It might be sorted, though i'll wait a little longer before i celebrate too much.

Here's hoping - it could have been a corrupt install.

Install drivers incrementally and test etc just incase there was a conflict - but hopefully your initial install was just corrupt.
