New system Spec Budget Gaming

Thanks again.

Last couple of questions

Is the ram definitely compatible with the board?
Also the board has HDMI and DVI and his monitor has the same.

Should i be running DVI- DVI/ DVI-HDMI/ or HDMI-HDMI

Thanks

Also hes looking at an antec 300 gaming case.

Does the PSU listed above OCZ core Extreme 500w have all the connections needed for the board and the 2x case fans included with the antec?

Thanks

The RAM is compatible yes. DVI and HDMI for a 1080p screen will be the same, I'd go for DVI if you've got a cable but it doesn't really matter.

It does (the fans will plug into the fans headers on the motherboard), though I'd spend more and get:

or

Especially if you're adding a graphics card later.

The Antec 300 is a fine case, but it is getting on a bit and for the price there are some much better cases. Perhaps the Antec One instead?

If it were me I'd get a graphics card, the 6850 doesn't use much power so a 450W is fine.

The onboard graphics really aren't great, and this will mean he can play other games too:

Final Spec ordered now.
Made a small change on the network card after reading reviews.
Understand the advice about the GPU but hes not playing any games at the moment that will benefit greatly from having one. No FPS or anything like that.

He was happy paying the extra for the performance with the ability to add in a card if theres games he purchases in the future which will require them.

Thank you all for the input on the thread. Hopefully the build will go smoothly. I have done a couple before, so heres hoping!
