Hi. I am looking to build a new system but I don’t keep up with all the component parts and which ones are superior to others.

I built my first system in 2016 which was spec’d for me on here and then a small update on 2023, which was also done using information from these forums.

I have a budget up to around £1300 and due to how old my current PC is I don’t think there is anything worth keeping, other than the monitor, mouse and keyboard. I also have a copy of windows so don’t need that.

I use the PC for mainly for playing games. I don’t play any new games mainly due to the fact my PC wouldn’t handle them but would like to start doing so on the new PC. I’d like to be able to just download any game I like the look of without worrying if it run well (if possible for this budget)

At the moment I play Satisfactory, Rust, Football Manager, Planet Coaster and RDR2

Thanks!

Hi Micky

Thanks for taking the time to spec a built and reply. Just to confirm that the black version of the GPU you are referring to is:

Asrock Radeon RX 9070 Challenger 16GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card

as there seems to be a few different versions.

I saw a review where someone was complaining about the style of the connectors used on the power supply listed and this made neat cable management difficult. Is it just a case of swapping the power supply in the suggested spec for a different 850W one or is the more to it than that? I really like the case you suggested and it would be a shame to ruin the look with messy cables since there is no hiding it in that case.

I also wanted to ask about AIO coolers. I don't know if they are any better than the CPU cooler you spec'd but I like the look of them, especially since you will see so much of the inside using this case. Is there one you could recommend or is it unnecessary?

Thanks again
