Im aware of the R600 but don't want to wait too long, and prefer NVidia. For similar reasons I can't really wait until Intel cut their prices in April.
My main concerns are the PSU (too big/small?) and also if its worth getting a slightly faster processor?

can anyone recommend any changes offer any advice?
thanks in advance.

That PSU and CPU will both be more than adequate for you needs. :)

Personally I'd get 2 x 250 HDDs rather than 1 x 500. 500 GiB is a lot of data to lose if it fails.

EDIT: Why do you have RAM on there twice?

ok thanks, maybe two of these for about £30 more then?

Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM £101.98 (£119.82)

how would i go about setting up a raid config?

EDIT: the rams there twice cos theres 2GB in the bundle, but I wanted 4...

Having 4 GiB RAM is overkill in most applications. Populating all 4 DIMM slots will severely hurt your performance potential.

To set up a RAID you should follow the instructions in the motherboard's manual. Usually you'll enable it in the BIOS then load the supplied RAID drivers when you go to install your OS.

so you reckon just 2 would be better? or 2x2gb?
i intend to use the system for gaming & office/internet & some audio/music related software too, like sibelius which requires a load of ram for the sound samples...?
