New system startup problem

Hi,

I wonder if someone can help me narrow down an issue with a new build.

Basically when I turn it on for the first time I get fans and nothing else. No beeps. The mobo light is on (one red, one green as per the instructions).
With the RAM out and power only to the mobo and gfx card I get the same.

Spec is
Antec P182 case
Abit IP35 (socket 775) PCi-Express DDR2 mobo
Intel Core Duo 2 E6750 2.66GHz
Geil PC2-6400 Black Dragon Ram 2x2Gb
Seatgate 250Gb SATA-II
BFG GeForce 8800GTS
Antec 500w psu

usual things i can think of:

1) is the cpu/cooler/ram/graphics card seated properly ?

2) Have you tried booting a minimum system cpu/hard disk/1 stick of memory/gfx card

3) have you tried running without any memory in place that should get some sort of beep iirc.

4) tried removing the gfx card, like memory no gfx card should cause some response.

5) have you reset the cmos as per the mobo's instructions.

Have you installed the 4 pin or 8 pin power connector for the CPU.

Yes the mobo has 24pin, 8pin and 4pin power going to it in the 3 places as per the instructions.

I've just taken the gfx card out too. Turn it on and it's complete silence bar the cpu fan.

Reading some other posts and doing some more startup tests I think the mobo is duff so I'll RMA it.
