Ok so a post ago I was simply going to be upgrading my systems CPU, GPU from the Intel Dual E7200 @ 3ghz and the GPU Nvidia 8800 GT, however I have no got a budget of £870 although I don't want to necessarily reach this budget if I don't have to but if anyone has any suggestions on what to get,
I hear i7 is kinda overkill and not really necessary for the average gamer, I currently use vista 64 bit so don't know if I should upgrade to 7 with this budget or keep vista, however baring in mind my screen res on avg is 1280 x 1024.

So far I can reuse: 2 Hard Drives (no disk drive as it's going to be used in another pc) and my Soundcard, possibly my 600watt psu but if any suggestions are there for a system which will handle games like BFBC with a stable 30/40+ i'm happy.

Thanks again in advanced =)

This is what I would get:

AMD Phenom II X4 955BE ~ £122

4GB 1600MHZ DDR3 ~ £77

Asus M4A785TD-V Evo ~ £73

Has an 8+2 phase VRM,VRM cooling, all solid capacitor construction and even an IGP with 128MB of DDR3

HD5850 1GB ~ £211

OR

HD5770 1GB ~ £113

Other bits I would look at getting:

Antec 300 case ~ £43

SATA DVD rewriter ~ £16

TBH,the HD5770 1GB would be fine at the screen resolution you are using.

BFBC2 requires a quad core,2GB RAM and a GTX260 in its recommended specification. The HD5770 1GB is around the same speed as a GTX260 but has DX11 whereas the HD5850 1GB is much faster than a GTX285 and has DX11 too!
