Just a quick one to say thnx to anyone who gave advice new set-up is up and running. Not all parts from OC "cough" but those that where the service was great.

New spec outline it isnt a rocket but for anyone deciding their own its a vast improvment on my old PIII and im wel chuffed, new bits bold old bits italic:

Screen looks wonderful, speed that 1.3Gb of images copied from Maxtor to SATA stunned me and I installed Oblivion last night, still drooling.

I have almost exactly the same setup as you....though I have a ds3, sorry to hijack your post but also thanks to everyones advice, though I still haven't sorted the problem with my HDD (had to order an SATA one) but I love my 7600GT its nice

Also have a cunning plan that Xmas 2007 will see a upgrade to Vista and DX10 graphics hence 7600GT now.

Also give MS a while to release Vista SP1 lmao..
