Hi all, just specced 2 options for a new system. I'm going from a AMD 4200+, 2GB RAM ATI x800GTO2. Intended for net/Photoshop/Cubase and a lot of iRacing! (Maybe some ArmA and STALKER etc)
More expensive:
Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) Retail
Geil Ultra Series 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-17000 2133MHz
Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Intel P55
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5
Works out at about £460
Budget:
AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 545 3.00GHz
Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C5
Asus M4A79XTD Evo (Socket AM3)
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB
Works out as about £320
I'm looking to keep my PSU (430W Tagan), 500GB SATA HDD and EDIROL External soundcard. Hopefully I can keep my case although it's an old ATX run of the mill tower case so I'm open to ideas. I'm also hoping for suggestions for a new decent keyboard/mouse with, as a minimum, volume controls on the keyboard.
Opinions?
Oh, and obviously I'd prefer to spend less than more but, if the cheaper might struggle, or is about to be made obsolete, I can stretch to the extra.
