New System

It's been a while since i've built one, but I think the time has come to put my trusty A64 3200+ to the left

I'm thinking of going down the Core 2 Duo route, and have a few different idea's in my mind of what to go for.

E4300 or E6300
Asus P5N-E(Sli NForce 650) or Gigabyte DS3(i965)
Geil PC6400 2x 1gb DDR2 (will be getting this regardless I think unless someone can suggest better?)
Lian Li PC7?
Gfx to come later...

Which would be the best cpu and mobo wise?

This would be the barebones of the system for the time being, and salvage my X850XT PCI-e 2x 160gb hdds, optical drive + FSP Bluestorm 500w PSU from my current system...

DS3 is a good board, but i certainly have no complaints with the DQ6 board

in terms of RAM, id go down the corsair route. The XMS2 stuff is pretty daddy-ish

But doesn't Asus flaunt 1333fsb with this P5N-E? Meaning better overclocking?

E4300 is better than E6300 for overclocking, higher multi meaning your less restricted by your RAM.

Well, I have ordered the board, hopefully if everything goes well, I will be running it and a E4300 tommorw.

Many people seem to be enjoying the board. A few people including Big.Wayne are using that board in the "offical E4300 overclocking thread" in the CPU section of the forum.

Are Nvidia's offerings(650 chipset mainly) better than Intel's i965 chipset? Who is the market leader these days ?
