Hi guys, upgrading from my old shuttle (xp3800, 7900GT), and I'd like your opinions :).

Trying to get the best bang for buck, not going over £600. I'll either be using it for gaming or just bits and bobs, I only have a 17" Lcd atm, 1280x1024 max res. I'd also like to point out that the system has to be quiet!

Enermax Pro 82+ 525W EPR525AWT ATX2.3 Silent PSU - £64.61
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - OEM £115.14
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GB22GB6400C4DC) £31.71
Asus P5Q Pro Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £93.99
Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 250GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (0A33423) £30.54
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail £112.79
Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case - No PSU (Gun Metal Black) £91.64

Total: £540.

I still need to decide on a hsf, also I'm considering getting Vista (32bit or 64bit?), is it worth it?

Also whats this 10% discount thing? And free delivery for members of the forum?

Cheers.

Ok, I'll be going for the Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB SATA-II hd. Now I'm just wondering if I should bother with Windows Vista, with me only having 2gig of RAM in this setup (don't wish to get anymore than that for the moment), will I get a massive slow down?

Bare in mind, I'll be coming from a Shuttle with X2 3800+, 1gb RAM, 7900GT and a Harddrive on IDE (:o)... All running on Windows XP, I do fancy a change though.

Also, whats the best cpu cooler I can get for 30 quid atm? I'm looking at the Asus Silent Knight II, I would go for the Thermalright 120 HS but it's out of stock :/. I need it to be pretty silent!

Anybody got the same graphics card I'm going for? Is the fan noisy on that?

Cheers for the input guys :).
