Hey guys,

Looking for some advice on a new table. Looking for it to be about 1.5-2m long and relatively deep where I have a large monitor.

Ive taken some inspiration from the numerous "ikea hacks" and thinking of doing that. I was eyeing up a few pre built tables for £120-£180 but some of the ikea hack ones look really nice, especially the solid wood / walnut ones.

I dont really need much drawer space so thinking of getting the KARLBY with LERBERG as supports, rather than drawers underneath and it being raised slightly.

I do need to find a better cable management tray than what IKEA do, really hate the look of it. Anyone have any better ideas on this? Just a rear tray or something similar or I might get something like a drawer tray and rear mount for the cables to go inside.

Hit me up with ideas!

35" rog curved, stand is pretty beasty. Case is Mid Tower size. Probably just this, keyboard and mouse, few speakers and headphone stand. I want it to be relatively clutter free

I got a Micke desk for £70. It all depends on how big your case is but I'm made up with it. You might have a problem with your monitor by the sounds of it. It's a bit smaller than what you've mentioned but might be worth considering.

The pc case is quite small really. Might be going a bit bigger like the Lian Li o11, only very slightly bigger. My main issue is the monitor stand, really want to desk mount it.. dont fancy whacking it on the wall. I have a few bits on the desk i have now, its a small L shape on. It takes half the width and half the depth just for the monitor. Case takes the other half / third. Then the laptop is on the right on the smaller part of the L. Then below that is another shelf which I have my extension lead on and a few bits like controllers and chargers. Im thinking of getting something about 1.5m, the new one i got is 1.2m and flat shaped but dont think it will be wide or deep enough hence why I really need to get a mount. Drama.. Ha

Yeah well I'll have the same issue when I come to upgrade my monitor in a few months but I'll be looking to get a desk clamp mount so none of the desk is used up by the stand.
