New TFT

I am after a new TFT or Plasma etc. Want a good TV screen. Must be more 42" or more. Budget is around £700. Must be HD and have good speakers

Any pointers please?

My usual Recommendation.

Panasonic TX-L47E5B if you are not interested in 3D.

The next model up is 3D but £70 over your budget.

For all the Panasonic haters out there I now own one (TXL32E5) & I think its a very good TV.
