They look good, and I'm certain they'll be solid performers. Hopefully they won't have stupid concave/convex bases though.

I wonder why they didn't attempt some kind of core contact base...

Agree about the quality of the base, my TRUE black was terrible, had to lap it a fair bit to get it level. Core contact would have been a nice upgrade as well.
