I am thinking whether I should take this macbook back and get myself a Macbook pro?

Would I see much different between the 2?

Speed
Graphic

Well, what spec is your MacBook, what spec of MacBook Pro are you looking at ... and what do you use the laptop for?

My Macbook is the Stock White Macbook at 879.00

The Pro one I am more likely to get is the Low one which is 1379.00 I think.

I do

Internet
DVD
Photographic (soon)
Emails
Letters
NO GAMES

Also is the 15" macbook pro much bigger as i like the size of this this macbook

For the tasks that you do, I don't think that there would be much benefit apart from a larger screen. Perhaps put the money towards an upgrade to 2GB of RAM? OS X loves RAM, especially for photo editing

I read somewhere that the Macbook Pro is more upgradable and would last longer as a computer.

As said, going by what you do it wouldnt be worth it.

Ok doky...

Hmmm just dont know what to do at all. As I want a laptop that would last me a long time. Also I am possibly go into Web Design after I done the Photo Graphic course.

What concern me is GFX card on the Macbook Pro may make DVD playing and Photo picture showing better?

Hmmm... Not one person said changed it :)

Hmm... Only different between it is

Bigger screen
Bigger CPU (prob wont notice much?)
GFX meant to be a lot better
Keyboard light up (wonder if this useful? And pro user comment on this?)

Doesn't sound like you do much CPU intensive work.
The bigger screen is a plus but makes it less portable.
The light-up keyboard is nice and reasonably useful although I don't think doing work in the dark is very good for your eyes.
If you're not interested in games I really wouldn't bother.

Maybe you could spend the £500 on a big TFT and bluetooth Mighty Mouse and Keyboard?

I do, do CD Rippting for Ipod a lot and also DVD Ripping to watch movies off my HD

Well the Pro is more for professional work but if you feel it's worth £500 then go for it...

I don't think you'll be able to rip CDs much faster though, it seems to be limited by the speed of the drive.

Ripping DVDs with handbrake on a standard MacBook is pretty fast. I get at least 70fps when ripping to mp4 at DVD resolution. My G4 Mini only did 20fps at best.

Hmm I got 1 hour to decide whether to exchange it.

I just dont know what to do at all but I seem to like the sounds of the specs of the Pro and the keyboard function. Not sure if the better GFX card do me any better for photo graphic..

A better graphics card wont have any affect on your photographic work..fill up your macbook with ram instead :)

That is a option..

But wonder if a faster processer make application open quicker and the like as it does on Windows

Yes of course it will, but the degree it's quicker is entirely dependent on how much faster it is. What are the actual specs we're talking about here?

Well

My Macbook is

* 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 1GB memory
* 80GB hard drive1
* Double-layer SuperDrive

The Macbook pro would be

* 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 1440 x 900 pixels
* 1GB memory
* 120GB hard drive1
* 6x double-layer SuperDrive
* ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 128MB SDRAM

100% not worth it unless you are going to play games or enjoy wasting money :p

You won't miss 160mhz.

:) Making it more easier for me to decide now... Just though the own GFX card would make it better for me than having Share GFX card.

Also not too sure if am right can the Pro have larger Memory than Macbook when fully upgraded
