Hey,

Looking to build new system for gaming (primarily iRacing, FH4, cyberpunk2077 when released) and work productivity (machine learning, VMs, video editing) in equal measure. Have my eyes on system based on threadripper 2950X.

Grateful for sense check of spec below. Not sure on coller, have built custom water in past but this time for simplicity and speed of build (I have kids now!) may go for top AIO (whaterver that may be). The M.2 will be for OS - will get 2nd drive for apps, games, data etc but not sure whether to get additional M.2 or "traditional" SSD. Also not sure on the memory I've selected - want minimum 64GB.

Thanks very much for any feedback.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,874.24 (includes shipping: £15.30)

If you're going to be gaming you probably want to add a discrete graphics card into the mix

Agree with above, if you need a GPU. Other than that, a good selection of components IMO.
I like the Phanteks cases. I'm using a Phanteks Enthoo M and a Corsair 750D. I actually prefer the Phanteks case, personally, but the size of the Corsair does make it easier to work inside of.
I'm using an air cooler with a 1950X. It's a big beast of a thing though but works fine as I don't bother with overclocking the CPU. It's a Noctua TR4-SP3 U14 or something like that - specific to the TR4 board, the larger of the two (can get it in 12 or 14cm fan). I slelected it for quiet running.
