I've just got a pair of 5850's for some Crossfire action, i've been an Nvidia owner previously for many years (mainly SLI), so i'd like a little advice (or useful links) as to the drivers from the red team and the best practice for installing etc.

Firstly, which set are the best for my needs? I've seen 9.10 and 9.11's floating around. I'm Purely gaming, no folding, video encoding etc. Any settings to turn on/off?

Also, what is CCC? Is it worth installing or is it better to just install the driver?

Lastly, what's the best OCing tool? I'm very much a "'set and forget" kind of user so something straight forward would be great.

Thanks in Advance. :)

9.10 are the official latest drivers that are WHQL.

If you have problems with them, its worth trying 9.11 which are currently BETA.

CCC is Catalyst Control Centre, definitely worth installing as it covers all the settings your card has along with display options, video playback etc.

For overclocking, the easiest option is in CCC itself, enable overdrive and set the core and memory speed, along with fan options.

If you want to extreme OC, then MSI Afterburner allows for voltage tweaking.
