Hello all, I've just done my CBT last weekend. Am 38 years old and looking for advice on which 125 to get, I don't have a great desl of experience with bikes nor know the market well. .

Not looking to spend a fortune, up to £1000 would be nice if possible. What I need is something friendly to use commuting for work and a general run around. Reliability, running costs and safety are what I'm after, looking to keep for maybe a year and sell when I get a full license.

Any suggestions?

The Yamaha ybr125 or Honda cbf125 will do you fine as a learner.I had a ybr125 their well made bikes and as long as there is sufficient engine oil their engines are pretty much bulletproof. For that money you should be able to get a 09 or older reg ybr125.

+1 for the CBF125 the new ones are really good now they have address a lot of the problem areas plus you get 2 years warranty and road side assist from Honda
