New to building

I would not consider myself a computer novice but nor a genius either.

I do know all the main parts to a computer and those I do not know I usually find out easily online.

Saying this I was wondering, would I be better buying a prebuilt system or have a go at building one?

I have 400 to spend.

Depending on what you want to do with it, but you will always be better of building. Just for the satisfaction youve got exactly what YOU want in it.
