New to custom loops!

Good Morning all.

I currently have a 100i V2 in my air 240 case with an i5 7600k and rx 580. Its getting a little warm in there when gaming. I am looking into doing a full custom loop.

It will be my first so I have a few Qs I am hoping to get some help with.

- Should I buy a kit or buy all parts separately.
- Is there a benefit apart from looks to having hard tubing over soft tubing.
- If buying all separate could I take apart the h100i V2 and keep the radiator to use with standard fittings etc.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the issue with mixing metals? As for your other answers thank you they are very helpful indeed. I will probably start with a kit to get used to it then go custom once I build my new system. Ill just throw the h100 in the box with the h105 and the h60 i keep under my desk lol!

Thanks guys I have used configurator and ordered a full kit for cpu, gpu and ram. might aswell go all out lol. Hopefully i wont mess it up!
