Hello!

immcoming into the world of buying a DSLR camera.

having a look at them, there is loads, so not sure which is the right one to get!

my budget is around 300-400.
the sort of pictures i will be tking are mainly of cars, close up and long shots.
also of my little boy, along with some landscape pictures.

if anyone coulld point me in the right direction as to which one would suite me, that would be great :)]

Thanks in advanced!

Jonny

Look at MPB for really good 2nd hand ones.

Remember that you are buying into a system. Canon or Nikon have great followings. Do plenty of research and hands on as some may feel better than others. I have always been a Canon man!

MPB are good, I have a camera from MPB and it was a good price and in great condition.

Just remember Dslr body is just a start. If you are hoping to take some crisp sharp pro looking photos, then it's the lens that matters most and the premium quality lens will easily cost you more than your Dslr body. If you are buying kit lens with the body, then have a read about its quality. You may be better off buying a Dslr body and lens separately. May cost you extra but will hopefully satisfy your photographic apetite better.

There's so much to choose from - do your research based on what you want to shoot, a bit of research will help you avoid a lemon. As long as you get a half-decent body, you'll be fine - the lens will be the key component really.

I got a Nikon D3300 recently and I think it's a great starter DSLR - takes some great photos even with the kit lens and isn't too difficult for a newbie to get the hang of.

thanks guys

i did some research last night and watched aload of reviews on the d3300.
i come up with the same idea of getting the body and buying a lense seperate.

thanks for the tips and a point in the right direction :)
