Hello all

Finished my first WU yesterday and it seems to be appearing in my sig :)

Eventually managed to get my X2 4800 running 2 at a time and also my my old rig will be chugging along slowly so should be adding a couple of points for the OcUK team from now on.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I seem to have got everything working ok now (fingers crossed).

Just got a WU worth 622 points, unfortunately its got another 47 hours to go!! Instead of working I am constantly watching to see if I have completed any more frames.

you'll find that the cells that low in the dungeuon are poorly lit and non furnished, as you move up the ranks (quickly) you'll find they get better. There is a rumour that the top 50 cells have mini bars and access to the room service system for tea and beers ;)

Nice to have you with us in the team that is team 10 !

Hey guys, just thought i should post here to say i have caught the folding bug on the 24th to :) Currently running 24/7 on a two machines, a P4 3.06HT and A64 3200. Have crunched through 153, 172, 200, 53 pointers so far although i have no idea if thats good!

looks like some good powerful rigs being brought in to play - they will certainly help us to stomp the next team on the horizon :cool:


Locrian - it's all good really, some WUs are sweeter than others but most will give similar ppd (points per day) as the smaller ones don't take too long and the larger ones take longer but are worth more - it all evens out in the end really :)
having two relatively new machines and having one of each should mean you can get the most out of whatever work is available :D

At least. My Pentium-M 1.7 can reach 530ppd on 364-pointers. Conroe is dual core, has a faster bus and memory and will overclock easily to 3Ghz+. I think we could be seeing 1500+ ppd with the right units.
