Hi everyone,
As some of you know, OC is running a scheme where you are given a discount code on GPUs to bring them from extraordinary prices to normal MSRP. All of this to combat bots and scalpers as there continues to be a massive computer chip shortage.
All of us are in the same boat here and some are desparate to buy GPUs. I am sorry for all of ya who are stuck with old hardware. To be clear and honest here, I have a capable RTX 2070s but have been planning on an upgrade. Tried to buy 3080 for the past 6 months and tried buying both 30tis' released earlier this month to no avail. So, having had an account for a few years and never really posting anything here I will be spamming comments to get the magic 50 posts to view the codes.
I understand that this is not ideal, but there's hope to get a card and I'm sure to make use of it.
There's nothing interesting I have to say for my experience building PCs, started 17, built a bunch of simple builds for myself and friend.
Currently running the following:
MSI Z370M Mortar
i7 9700k OC 5GHZ cooled by ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 (prolly the most interesting part of the build)
MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 2070s
Corsair RAM 16GB 3600MHZ
Raid & M.2 of course are in
EVGA Supernova P2 850W PSU
Planning to go full custom liquid hardline for my next build, hence starting with a GPU.
Also have a nas and installed a 10Gb CAT7 recently around the house, was a fun project.
Anyway, should any new commers need any advice, will chip in with a few words.
As for this post, as sad as that is, I will try to spam to get the magic RTX3080ti if its available this summer.
