New to Ips and wanna check

Been hearing lots of horror stories about bad Ips glow etc and this being my first ever Ips

Just received my Lg850-b ( what a beaut ) and just checking this sorta glow is A-ok..

Took brightness down to 50% (100% was retina burning) and thankfully no dead or stuck pixels that i can see =) this was in a dark room taken on my note10

Some pictures made it Look horrendous when in reality its not bad managed to get a few to show some accuracy, Slight whiting in right corner... Left corner has some ips glow ( brightness at 30%) but i hear its notorious for left corner glow with these monitors. this only really affects dark content.

Would say that's about average glow for a typical IPS screen.

My 34" UW is IPS and its just the same

Quality control on ips panels is poor. However you get a good ips unit/panel and its superb (way more vivid colours and no VA smearing) and generally better than a VA (except the black levels). TN just avoid if you value colour and viewing angles.

Don't look to the group for vindication. If you look at it, you are happy with it - then its good. Second you go hunting for problems, you will likely find them. IPS panels and the females in my life have a lot in common, it seems.

If you look for it you find it, so why look for it? Personally IPS glow never bothered me. I guess I am weird. It bothers some people a lot. I guess you just have to decide which sort of person you are!
