New to O2.... taking an age to get an IP address

Hi all,

Playing with my router tonight tweaking the settings DG843GT on O2 ( as of yesterday) when I reboot it syncs fast enough but takes atlease 5 minutes to gain an IP address Is this normal in the 1st few days?
