Hi all,

Being new to overclocking I have read many of the threads in the forums but am blinded by science. When I spoke with OCUK prior to ordering I was advised that the i3 chip is easily overclocked.

However I am a little too nervous and noob to play around with the mobo settings too much without some advise.

If anyone is able to please help me with mobo settings for an overclock on my chip i would be very grateful. I did find some settings online which pushed my chip up to 3.9ghz (which is my aim if possible) which i was very pleased about of course but it was not stable for one reason or another and i switched mobo settings back to default.

The kit i recently purchased is listed below. I appreciate any and all help with this and understand that i may well need my hand held through the procedure on my first OC.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Intel Core i3 530 2.93GHz (Clarkdale) (Socket LGA1156)
Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156)
Corsair H50-1 CPU Watercooler

download the following (just google there all free)

cpu-z to look at your clocks and volts
prime95 or intelburn to test for stability
coretemp or realtemp to check your temps

up the mhz 10 or 20 at a time and test with intelburn on max check your temps with real temp i dont like to go over 65c max

if unstable up the vcore volts. see what they are standard with cpu-z only put them up a little at a time.

if you get stuck send me a message i will help you more
