Hey guys

I am relatively new to overclocking but i am not sure if i am doing things right or not or if theres a problem with my setup.

I havent tried doing any manual settings as yet and instead been using the auto features that came with my board.

I am running an Asus M5A97 Pro board with 960t CPU, 2x4GB corsair xms3 ram 1333mhz, HD 6770 gpu, gelid tranquillo cooler, CM GX 650W psu and corsair force 3 ssd 120gb with win 7 64.

The board features a UEFI BIOS and i have updated it to latest firmware (1007) and have tried the D.O.C.P tuning feature in BIOS which increases the ram to 1600mhz and the Cpu from 3.0gb to 3.4gb. When activating this and saving/exiting BIOS, it all seems ok until trying to load up again as the lights come on, then resets itself again and then boots successfully.

Upon viewing BIOS again after this, I have noticed that the CPU will increase to 3.5 but the ram will decrease to 1236mhz. Now i dont know if this is normal or not but it does the same even when i have 6 cores activated (CPUID states as 1055t) so assuming theyre unlocked.

My temps are idling around 36-38 degrees whilst in BIOS so cant see anything wrong from that perspective and annoyingly enough i cant do anything from the desktop as i am unable to install the AI suite II that came with the support cd or from the asus website.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
